This busy family of four in Green Hills is looking for an after school nanny that will become part of the family! They live directly across from Lipscomb University in a wonderful neighborhood with several other children of similar ages. It is like one big family on this street and this makes for lots of fun after school.
The children are 7 (girl) and 9 (boy) and currently in first and third grade at Percy Priest Elementary. Their school is only a few minutes away from home, so it is very convenient for after school pickup. They are in need of a nanny that can work part time during the school year and full time in the summer. The school year schedule will include picking the children up from school and driving them home or to an after school activity. The nanny will be in charge of packing lunches for the next day and helping the children complete their homework. After that, they love to play outside with their neighborhood friends or do crafts or board games inside! The children are both very respectful and sweet and completely self sufficient. They just love having a nanny that can engage them and keep them busy with fun activities!
Dad works from home right now due to Covid and mom works from home occasionally. The children are very good about letting them work and know to be quiet or play outside if the parents are in meetings. Mom and dad are fine with the nanny taking the children to the park or other fun activities as they have both been vaccinated. They would like their nanny to be vaccinated as well but it is not a deal breaker if they are not, as long as they are being cautious.
The summer schedule will be full time and consists of lots of swimming and other fun outdoor activities. They are members at Hillwood Country Club and the kids love to go swimming there and grab lunch with their nanny! The parents are fine with any other activities the nanny can think of for some good summer entertainment.
Other household jobs such as grocery pickup, errands, or organizational projects can be offered if the nanny is interested for additional hours before school pickup. Mom and dad appreciate a nanny that can take initiative around the house and offer suggestions of helpful things that could be done such as swapping out seasonal clothes or organizing the playroom. This family is amazing with communication and would love a nanny that has great open communication skills as well to make for a great long lasting work relationship.
- School Year: Monday-Friday 2:30-4:30/5pm
- Summer: 8-4:30pm
*They would love availability on school holidays or sick days as well
November: first or second week (flexible based on nanny’s preference)
This returning Apple to Betsy family of four is on the search for a creative and energetic nanny who is also willing to pitch in around the house to keep things running smoothly! The family would love to find a wonderful nanny/household helper who is available to start by or after September 1.
Must be fully vaccinated!
The family is looking for an energetic and fun nanny for their one year old boy and 8 year old girl. The children have a sweet temperament and love to play outside. The 8 year old loves to play outside at the park or do arts and crafts at home. A nanny that is creative and loves coming up with arts and crafts projects would be perfect! You will also be needed to pick the 8 year old up from school (3rd grade) and the one year old boy up from daycare. Dinner preparation and cleanup as well as bath time and bedtime will be needed each night. The nanny will also be responsible for preparing the children’s lunches and supplies for the following day. If you choose the full time schedule, the previously mentioned childcare tasks will be needed along with some household tasks. These include things such as: light cleaning (vacuuming or sweeping up), laundry for the whole family, and errands such as groceries or dry cleaning pickup. The family does not go on many vacations or trips throughout the year, but if the nanny does not want to take this time for their own vacation, the family offers tasks around the house while they are gone to give the nanny extra hours.
So, if you are a nanny that loves arts and crafts and can keep these two sweet children engaged with games, reading, and lots of outside play, this may the family for you!
They have been blessed with a few wonderful nannies that have been with them for a year at a time but left to pursue school or careers. The family would love to find a nanny that can stay with them for a more long term time. If the nanny is only able to commit to one year that is fine too, but long term is a plus!
SCHEDULE OPTION 1:
- This schedule includes the afternoon/evening childcare as well as a variety of household tasks such as laundry, groceries, organization, etc.
SCHEDULE OPTION 2:
Approximately 27-28 hours/week
- This schedule would be more childcare focused with after school pickups and then dinner/bedtime routine

(Position #ONEYROLD) *PAUSED UNTIL JAN*
New parents of a sweet one year old boy are seeking a full time nanny who has been vaccinated and very Covid cautious! Their sweet baby boy was born with a heart condition so they are trying to keep their family safe by making sure they practice the highest precautions.
Mom and dad have been thankful to have the help of grandparents as they search for their perfect nanny, but it is time to find a long term solution! Their one year old son was born premature with a heart problem so it is a MUST that their nanny is fully vaccinated to insure his health and safety. The family is Christian and these values are very important to them as they search for a nanny. Ideally, they would find someone with the same belief system, but if the nanny is at least comfortable and capable of being supportive to this that would be great.
The family is located in South Crieve Hall/North Brentwood and they do not have any pets. Dad works outside of the home but is at home now until the end of Fall. Mom is a Dr. at Vanderbilt and has a very regular schedule, so the nanny will have consistency with their schedule as well. They do not expect any household tasks of the nanny besides the basic cleaning up after child’s playtime and after meals. A nanny that is passionate for working with children and up to date on all milestones is a must. They are currently not comfortable with lots of “out of the house” activities due to Covid19, but encourage walks outside and possible trips to the park. Their son is very content playing at home at this age, but they can reevaluate as he grows. The family is looking for a one year commitment with the possibility to extend for the right candidate.
Start Date: January 2022
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 7:30-5:30pm
PAY & BENEFITS:
- $20/hour + legal overtime if applicable
- Offer of health insurance stipend
- 2 weeks paid vacation
- All major holidays paid/off work

A new to Nashville family in Green Hills is on the hunt for an awesome evening nanny to spend time with their 3 and 5 year old while they squeeze a date night or errands into their busy week!
This family of 4 recently relocated to Nashville from North Carolina and is getting settled in to their home in Green Hills with their 3 and 5 year old. Mom and dad need two evenings a week to be able to get things done without the children around like extra errands or a date night! They would love a nanny that could pick the children up from their school at 5:30pm which is located just a few minutes from their home. They need their nanny to drive the children home and prepare/feed them dinner and then give baths and do their bedtime routine. Mom and dad anticipate being home at 8pm on these two days. This position is about 6 hours per week but they are willing to add a few extra hours before school pickup if the nanny is interested for things such as household work or errands.
Their ideal candidate is fun and patient with children and can keep them safe and happy while also holding onto the boundaries. Mom and dad know that sometimes children can try to get away with things with a new nanny and want someone who can be firm yet loving 🙂 They would love this nanny to be with them long term if possible but at least one year. A few years down the road would be great too for the right candidate!
They are interviewing now and hope to find their perfect fit by the end of September.
- 5:30-8pm two nights a week
- Preferably Tuesday/Thursday
- Opportunity for additional hours before pickup if wanted
PAY & BENEFITS:
- $20/hour @ 6 hours per week
- Guaranteed Hours: 6 hours/week
(POSITION FILLED) #AFTERSCHOOL
A fun and energetic after school nanny is needed to care for three children near 12 South. Someone who has a few hours in the afternoons to hang out with a sweet 4, 6, and 9 year old and get them safely to their after school activities is what this family is looking for!
This family of 5 is looking for a reliable nanny with an excellent driving record to care for their 4 year old son and 6 and 9 year old daughters. The children are rising third grader, first grader, and preschooler. The 4 year old goes to Montessori preschool and the two girls go to USN across from Vanderbilt. The children need picked up from school and safely transported to their after school activities (soccer and swimming currently). Mom has been able to stay home for the past 9 years with the kids so has been available, but is currently excited to go back to school to pursue nursing. She will begin this full time in August and they hope to find a nanny ASAP but by the second week of August preferably. They can wait until September 1st at the very latest for the right candidate.
The family’s main objective is to find a SAFE and reliable nanny they can count on to pick up their children from school and get them to their scheduled activities. They would also need help with any homework after school when they have time for that between activities! Mom would probably love help with school lunches for the next day but it is not necessarily a must as she understands time may not allow for this with the after school activities. The nanny must also be fun and sweet with the children and provide and enjoyable environment for them after school!
If there are days when the children are out of school or stay home sick, they would love the nanny to be available on those days as well.
Their 6 year old daughter has food allergies and asthma. She has medication that she carries at all times in case of a flair up or emergency but mom says thankfully they have never had to use it. A nanny that is comfortable administering the medication is key and if they have experience with this, that is even better! Mom is happy to teach about the use of this if the nanny is not experienced.
Summer needs are unknown as mom may be available. The family is also planning a trip to France this summer, but the nanny will be aware of this arrangement with plenty of notice.
PAY & BENEFITS:
- $20-25/hour DOE

New parents to a sweet three month old baby girl are on the search for a self-driven nanny that is an expert in infant developmental milestones and skilled in nurturing their child as she grows.
Start date is ASAP but definitely before August 30. If they need to extend this to September 7 at the very latest for the right candidate they can.

They are new parents to a sweet little 3 month old girl and their main objective is a nanny that is very knowledgable about infant/childhood milestones. They need a nanny that will help nurture and grow these each day through play and experiences. The parents are both vaccinated and the nanny must be vaccinated as well. With this being said, they are comfortable with their nanny taking baby girl on walks to the nearby park or other outings as long as they are being Covid safe.
The family would love a long term nanny, meaning a one year commitment and the possibility of up to 3+ years for the right person. They do not anticipate putting her in school any time soon, and would prefer her to be home with the nanny longterm. Their ideal candidate is laid back and very good with open communication and taking direction from the parents if they have preferences they would like to guide towards.
